My Things by Hong Hao

Beijing based, Hong Hao, is known for his intricate collage pattern-making. He carefully scans each individual item and then matches the images together as part of a larger tapestry. These collections are centered around Hao’s annual consumption – things he uses as part of his daily routine – he then gathered these images until he felt there was enough for a collage.  My Things is meant to be a consideration of consumer culture and how the act of consumerism informs on the fabric of our lives.
