These cat collages are the work of Stephen Eichhorn, a Chicago-based artist. He culls the background imagery from cat books, both vintage and modern, that specialize in a certain brand of portraiture.
I love having plants around all year long, but summer definitely puts me in the mood for gardening. Since I live in an apartment, most of gardening happens in pots, so when I had this idea, I was super excited to test it out. It's is an easy way to add a little flair to a plain and ultra affordable terra cotta pot.
Nature provided the inspiration and Bjarki filled in the rest, working in a big warehouse during one night shift to create the series. He says working through the night influenced the work; the images have a silent and glow-in-the-dark feel to them.
Nacho Ormaechea takes as his muse the "inspiring yet anonymous" pedestrian of Paris, where he works as a graphic designer and artist. Bound by the boarders of his subject's silhouettes, Ormaechea creates stunning photo montages which aim to "induce moments of introspection" within the viewer.
